Oclean Air 2 Sonic Electric Toothbrush Wins Red Dot for High Design Quality
Shenzhen Yunding Information Technology Co., Ltd./Ocleandesign labs (Song Kan & Haoxiang Hu) has been successful in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021. The international jury has awarded Oclean Air 2 the distinction “Red Dot”, which stands for high design quality.
Oclean Air 2 is a Low-noise Sonic Electric Toothbrush and from its appearance, it is light, compact, and comfortable to hold. It may look like an ordinary toothbrush, but after turning on the switch, you will notice the biggest difference between Air2 and other electric toothbrushes - there is no noise.
It combines ultrasonic static noise reduction drive and ultra-quiet motor technology to achieve the quiet characteristics of the electric toothbrush industry, with noise as low as 30dB or and even less. After turning on the toothbrush, you can hardly hear it except for the vibration in your hand. Users who've used ordinary electric toothbrushes have a singular predicament, the noise caused by their electric toothbrushes.
This is more prominent for those using it in the morning or at night, the noise of brushing your teeth can easily disturb sleeping family members, children, or the elderly. What this has caused, is people tend to rush the brushing procedure, ignoring standard teeth hygiene and brushing protocols. We have specially developed ultra-quiet motor technology to eliminate this sort of problem.
Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec on the laureates
“The winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 were particularly impressive this year. The design of their products is excellent, in terms of both the aesthetic and the functionality. It’s not easy to prevail in such a strong field of competitors and to win over our jury. Consequently, I want to congratulate the laureates very sincerely on their success.” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.
Evaluation platform for good design
The Red Dot Award: Product Design dates back as far as 1955 and recognizes the best products for a given year. The roughly 50 jurors were once again true to the motto “In search of good design and innovation” in the 2021 competition. The international panel of experts comprises specialists from a wide variety of sectors. They scrutinized the products entered in the competition in a process that spanned several days and were guided by assessment criteria such as the product’s formal quality, ergonomics and longevity.
